Job description summary

The research group of Dr. Olivier Lantz (Inserm U932, Paris, France) is seeking a degree-qualified  scientist to work on basic questions regarding MAIT cell biology. O. Lantz discovered MAIT cells 20 years ago and has been a major contributor in the field. He recently obtaine an ERC-Advanced grant on this topic. The project address will be defined with the applicant according to his/her expertise and wishes.


Projects will be developped under the supervision of Dr Olivier Lantz leading the team “Innate like and CD4+ T cells in cancer” ( The team studying MAIT cell biology encompasses: 1 staff-scientist, 2 postdocs, 3 PhD students, 1 bioinformatician, and 2 engineers. The techniques used routinely are: multicolor FACS analysis and sorting, quantitative PCR, transgenic and KO mice, inducible KO, cell transfection, NGS, cellular immunology… etc.  Many studies will be done in vivo in mice.

The group is part of a 130-person immunology department headed by Anna-Maria Lennon. The lab is located within the Institut Curie campus in the center of Paris.  The building is equipped with state of the art facilities (imaging, proteomic, animal facility, genomic and cytometry platforms). The Institute hosts around 1500 bench scientists including many foreign post-doctoral fellows.



Candidates will have a Ph.D. in immunology. She/he should have demonstrated success in a previous research experience in immunology or related fields testified by publications. Strong motivation, autonomy and ability to quickly and effectively develop new projects in relation with the group leader and collaborators will be essential.

Good proficiency in English is mandatory.
