Early on during my studies in Biotechnology at Warsaw University of Technology I got interested by variety of RNA roles in the cell, in particular non-coding RNA that has become increasingly relevant to human health, yet much still remains obscure. Therefore I decided to pursue my career in this field beginning with my Masters work where I studied RNA polymerase III regulation, continuing with my PhD, at Institute of Biochemistry and Biophysics Polish Academy of Sciences in collaboration with Ohio State University (US), in tRNA biogenesis and the links to RNA polymerase III regulation. Presently as Post-Doctoral researcher at Institut Curie I follow my scientific interest by deciphering regulation and role of human long noncoding RNAs.
